Can I convert my natural gas cooker to LPG?
If you have a full gas cooker it is not possible to convert.
If you have a dual fuel cooker, such as a gas hob with an electric oven, there may be a conversion kit available from our spares department.
Why can I hear a fan when I am using the grill?
The fan you can hear is the cooling fan. This is at the top rear of the cooker, not inside either of the oven cavities. When you operate the oven(s) or the grill, this fan will draw air from the back of the oven and pass it under the control panel. The flow of air prevents heat rising, which can damage the control panel and make the knobs too hot to touch.
Why is it important to check the suitability of my saucepans?
To ensure that you obtain the most efficient performance from your hob and prevent the elements failing prematurely. The ideal saucepans would be heavy gauge, with smooth, flat bases. Most manufacturers provide a guide with their cookware to advise you on which hobs their saucepans are suitable for.

Why can't I set a start time on my clock for automatic cooking?
There is no facility to set a start time, you have to set a cooking period time and a stop time. The timer automatically works out when to switch on.
Why is there a gap at the top of the oven door?
The gap allows airflow between the inner and outer door panels. The flow of air prevents the outer door panel from becoming too hot. Because of the gap, spillage and condensation can form inside the door, so we also provide a facility to clean between these panels.
Why does a gas cooker have to be installed and serviced by a Corgi registered engineer?
It is a legal requirement that any gas appliance is attended by a suitably qualified Corgi engineer to ensure that it is safe to use. In accordance with these requirements all our engineers are trained and qualified to attend to gas appliances. Incorrect installation and inadequate testing could result in a serious accident.
Shouldn't the range cooker have a much higher fuse rating?
No. This is due to the diversity of factors involved in cooking. When you use your cooker you would never switch on every control knob at the same time. The switches are turned on at different times and they all cycle in and out. So, even if you do have all the controls switched on at once, they are not all using power at the same time.
