Energy efficiency is a phrase that gets thrown around a lot, and it’s a very direct and simple way to take a hands-on approach to your carbon usage. Household appliances, like the ones supplied by the brands that make up Glen Dimplex Home Appliances, are an integral part of modern life. That’s why the amount of energy they use is such an important issue. By spending a little bit of time thinking about the appliances you buy, and the ways in which you use them, you can have a direct impact on your household energy usage.
Our brands offer a wide range of energy efficient appliances. Stoves, Belling, New World and Lec can all provide an impressive number of appliances which have received a rating of A, A+ and AA with the Belling free standing double oven, on the European Union’s energy efficiency rating scale. Receiving a rating of A or higher identifies these products as amongst the most energy efficient available.
Belling also stocks induction hobs, and even an induction oven. Induction is a fantastically energy efficient method of cooking; using an induction hob is 30% more efficient than using a gas hob, and around 20% more efficient than using a ceramic hob. The Energy Saving Trust has a lot more information about energy efficiency, and ways in which you can make a direct impact on global warming other than purchasing A-rated appliances. And it’s worth remembering this; energy efficiency won’t only help save the world... it can also help you reduce your utility bills.
