Belling’s exciting range of hi-tech induction-technology hobs and ovens offer a dramatically more energy efficient and easy-to-control way of cooking. But the benefits of these induction appliances don’t end there; they’ve also got a number of invaluable safety features.
Take, for example, the child-lock function on the induction hob that tops off the Belling FSE60i freestanding oven. The child-lock will entirely disable the induction hob’s cooking functions, meaning you can rest a little easier if there are children in your household. As well as a child-lock, the induction hob has an auto-standby function. If, for any reason, the hob is left unattended over a long period of time, it will automatically stop inducing heat in any pans or other metal cookware placed on top of it, and power itself down. These simple but effective safety features are designed to bring you peace of mind.
Belling’s induction hobs also feature integral sensors that measure the amount of metal that comes into contact with the electromagnetic field given off by the induction element. This ensures that metal utensils, for example, won’t be heated by the field, and neither will jewellery. Items like this contain less metal than a saucepan or a griddle, and the sensors recognise this difference.
These in-built safety features, along with the unique characteristics of induction heating elements, mean that a Belling induction hob is one of the safest options available.
