Staff at Glen Dimplex Home Appliances were treated to a Pancake Day surprise when product manager Dinos Vassiloulis rustled up their favourite pancake fillings before their eyes on a portable Baby Belling Pronto in the canteen.
Employees from the company’s factory in Prescot watched as Dinos flipped his way through over 100 pancakes on the Pronto induction hob, before tucking into a wide range of tasty pancake fillings.
A recent Pronto Pancake Survey* to find the company’s favourite fillings surprisingly revealed that traditional lemon and sugar topped the bill with staff. This was closely followed by whipped cream with mandarins topped with crushed ginger nut biscuit, whilst chicken sliced with mushrooms and white wine sauce featured as a popular savoury option. All three of the top fillings were put on the menu to celebrate pancake day.
Dinos Vassiloulis, appliances and accessories product manager at GDHA commented:
‘It was fantastic that we were all able to enjoy pancakes at work this year. Using the Baby Belling Pronto induction hob was really handy because it’s portable so we could set it up anywhere we wanted in the canteen. Because of its advanced technology it also meant that the pancakes cooked very quickly and the handy safety cut off feature automatically switched the heat off whenever I lifted the pan in order to serve a pancake.’
